1. Lt. Governor’s Commendation Certificate of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for recognising his exemplary contribution towards biodiversity conservation 0n 26th January 2023

2.  Fast Track Young Scientist Fellowship (2006 & 2013) from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi

3.  Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Fellowship (2011), to participate the training on Integrated Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management at Universiti of Malaysia Sabah, Sabah, Malaysia.

4.   36th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica during December 2016 - April 2017 to study the Birds & Mammals of Southern Ocean & Antarctica (Larseman Hill & Schirmachir Oasis).

5.  Fellow Award from Andaman Science Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands for outstanding contribution.

6. Best performance and outstanding contribution award in the Island Tourism Festival by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.

7. 80 new records to India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Kerala & Great Indian Desert from various faunal group especially birds, mammals, moths, wasp, odonates.  He also reported new species of frog, tree shrew, termites, earthworm, butterflies, moth etc.

8. More than 50 research labs of animal house facilities such as pharmaceutical companies, Medical College, Veterinary College, arts & science college.  He was main force to bring the guidelines for the animal house facilities and syllabus for the training course in respect of experimentation on animals.  

9. Recognized supervisor for Ph.D. research under the Pondicherry University and nine candidate completed Ph.D., and four are under pursuing.

10. Conducted certificate course on Para-Taxonomist including PBR; Bird Identification and Basic Ornithology under the Green Skill Development Programme of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, training workshop on Costal and Marine Biodiversity of Island ecosystem sponsored by MoEF&CC.

11. Workshop on Bird identification and Basic ornithology under accelerate vigyan by SERB, Department of Science and Technology. Training for IFS Probationers, and in-service IFS officers since 2017 for the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy on Biodiversity of A & N Islands and possible collaboration with ZSI. Training on schedule animals to the CISF posted in Airport & Sea Port in Andaman (Two batches) during 2018; Indian Coast Guard, IRBn, Andaman and Nicobar Police, Andaman and Nicobar Forests Department.

12. Organised National and International seminar/symposium/workshop in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and also coordinated in mainland.  He is a State Coordinator for Asian Waterbirds Census, conducted by Wetland International and Bombay Natural History Society.

13. Participated and presented research papers at 100 national and international seminars/ symposia/webinars. He is life member of various scientific societies in India and abroad.

14. Successfully completed 12 major research projects funded by SERB, Department of Science and Technology (Fast Tract Young Scientist Scheme), Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Ministry of Defence, besides several internal research programmes.

15. Conceptualized and bringing “National Coral Reef Research Institute” to the islands, through Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India which would give recognition to the islands not only Nationally but also Globally. 

16. Established Molecular Systematics Laboratory in ZSI, Port Blair which will increase our understanding of eco-evolutionary processes of the long-isolated, environmentally diverse, and rich biodiversity of this island ecosystem.

17. Initiated to creation of EIACP Centre in ZSI, Port Blair through MoEF&CC, Government of India. Through EIACP centre the following works will be disseminated, i.e., inventory of authentic information on the Biodiversity of A&N Islands, providing baseline information for the researchers, academicians etc., undertake various application-oriented research on biodiversity, awareness workshop, seminar to the school, college students and general public, ENVIS Centre will also be helpful to identify an area to promote eco-tourism and to enhance the revenue of government.

18. Hon’ble Union Home Ministry has inaugurated the National Repository for Island Faunal Diversity, which host the voucher specimens of fauna of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and adjacent southeast Asian countries.  These voucher specimens form the basis for research on evolution, speciation, distribution, taxonomy, systematics, ecology and evolutionary biology.  Besides, this repository building also will be used as museum through LED display of endemic, endangered fauna of this archipelago.

  1. Participated in the scientific cruise on board ORV Sagar Manjusha in Andaman Sea during 10th to 19th September 2009 to survey the deep-sea faunal communities.
  2. Participated in the 36th Indian Scientific Expedition Antarctica & Southern Ocean during December 2016 to April 2017.

21. Organized and Coordinated Faunal Expedition to Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve the southernmost island of the country during 26th October 2018 - 4th November 2018.

22. Organized and Coordinated Faunal Expedition to Narcondam Island Wildlife Sanctuary, Andaman during January 2020 - April 2020; September 2020 - November 2020
