Reptilia Section

Reptilia section deals with the following groups of organisms: Order 1. Loricata (Crocodiles), Order 2. Testudines (Turtles and Tortoise), Order 3. Squamata Suborder: Sauria (Lizards), Suborder: Serpentes (Snakes). About 27 programmes have been handled by the section and completed the database of 18 States and 2 UTs. 19 Families of Reptiles have been dealt till date. The section has a total holding comprising 33,910 General Collections and 527 Type collections. Three groups and 19 families were worked out till date.
