Right to Information Act 2005

 

 

Right to Information Act 2005 is an initiative taken by Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The basic objective of the RTI act 2005 is to empower the Indian citizens and to promote transparency in the Government departments, and make our democracy work for the people in real sense. Zoological Survey of India is maintaining transparency at every level, and providing the timely information as sought by the Indian citizens under the Right to Information Act, 2005. For better accessibility, the details of the names and addresses of the CPIO along with APIOs and First Appellate Authority of the Zoological Survey of India is provided here. All the Heads of Offices of the Regional Centres of Zoological Survey of India are designated as APIOs of their respective Regional Centres. In the event of transfer of charge of Head of Office of any of the Regional Centres, the next incumbent will automatically assume the charge of APIO of the respective Regional Centre.

For timely response, the appellants are encouraged to submit their requests via online portal: https://rtionline.gov.in.

 

In case of offline submission, application related to ZSI, HQ & RCs, Any citizen who desires to seek some information from a public authority is required to send, along with the application, a demand draft or a bankers cheque or an Indian Postal Order of Rs.10/- (Rupees ten), in favour of Pay and Accounts Office (BSI/ZSI), Kolkata of the public authority as fee prescribed for seeking information. All letters should be addressed directly to the Public Authority at ZSI Kolkata.
