Significant Achievements	Major Awards/ Recognition at National / International Level 1. Conferred with the “Exceptional Woman of Excellence”, by the Women’s Economic Forum, at The Hague, Netherlands on the International Women’s Day, 2018. 2. Awarded the “Amazing Godavari Memorial Award for Excellence in the field of Education and Science” on the 30th of January 2022. 3. Awarded the Nari Shakti Samman Purashkar, 2022”. 4. Awarded the H R Mehra award by The Helminthological Society of India on 21st March, 2022. 5. The CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and Bharat Chambers of Commerce felicitated as one of the Outstanding Women Achievers of 2022. 6. Felicitated with The Prof. T N Ananthakrishnan Foundation on 6th August, 2022. 7. Conferred with “ESDA Women Empowerment Award 2022” by the Environment and Social Development Association at their 3rd World Environment Summit 2022. 8. For the contributions and the achievements in the field of Sciences, felicitated with the Women Achievers Award 2023 by IBRF. 9. Conferred with the Honorary Fellowship Award 2023 for her outstanding contribution in the field of Environmental Sciences by the Society of Biological Sciences and Rural Development. Major Scientific/ Technological Achievements Described more than 15 species as new to science with different ecological significance. Published 21 books, 48 book chapters and 201 research articles in peer reviewed national and international journals, including publications in Scientific Reports and Genes. Fauna of Protected Areas such as Satkosia – Baisipalli WLS, Malabar WLS, Sundarban BR and Coringa WLS, Also published the baseline fauna of biogeographic zones such as Faunal Diversity of Biogeographic Zones of India: Gangetic Plains and Faunal diversity of Biogeographic zones of India: Deccan Peninsula. Established DNA barcoding facilities in the HQ as well as the regional centres of the ZSI to enhance the integrated taxonomic capacity of the scientists of ZSI. New Methods/ Theory/ Process established, Technology Developed, Socio-economic issues Addressed, Unique data base/centres established etc. 1. Preparation of Species cards, Literature cards, and Database for www.zsicollections.in , www.faunaofindia.nic.in and www.zsifis.nic.in .
