3. Establishment of Long-term Permanent Monitoring Plots in the coral reefs of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to study the impact of climate change.

4. Description of new faunal species:13 species

5. New faunal species record to India: 715 species (scleractinian corals, alcyonacean corals, sea anemones, hydrozoans, bryozoans, sponges, molluscs, nudibranchs, polyclads, brachiopods, ascidians, fishes and bird).

f)   ICRI/GCRMN Regional Workshop for South Asia Sea Region (SASR) on ‘Regional Data Analysis of Coral Reef Monitoring’ held at Male, Republic of Maldives during 28th and 29th January 2020 and presented ‘Status of Coral Reefs of India – ZSI’s initiatives on monitoring’ as country presentation.
