Training and Extension

  1. The National training Workshop on “Fauna of Hotspot-2: Western Himalaya” has been conducted in the Centre from July 24-28, 2015.
  2. Lectures and presentation on various aspects allied to faunal diversity and its conservation are organized during various programmes to the students of colleges, university teachers by the scientists of the centre.
  3. The scientists of the Centre participate in national and international conferences, seminars, workshops and deliver presentation, invited talk as resource person and chair the scientific sessions.
  4. As resource person, scientists of the Centre are recognized for evaluating research project proposals for Ministry of Science & Technology, reviewing research papers for various national and international journals, acting as practical examiner for degree courses in zoology and evaluating dissertations for M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees for several colleges and universities. The centre is also supervising the Ph.D scholars.
  5. The Identification, advisory and library services are rendered to universities, research institutes, State forest department, agricultural departments of the state/central government and individual research workers.
